Wildflower Hike Jack Lake Valley, Nipomo
March 19, 2006

              Endangered Nipomo Mesa Lupine
(Lupinus nipomensis)

The Land Conservancy hosted a wildflower and dune hike in Jack Lake Valley led by staff Project Manager, Mark Skinner.  This moderate, 2-mile walk provided a glimpse of many flowers and fantastic dunes. The more adventurous members of the group played and jumped on the sand dunes.

Jack Lake Valley lies within the Conoco-Phillips property and through a partnership between The Land Conservancy, Conoco-Phillips and California State Parks, the public is allowed in the area for this docent-led hike. Jack Lake Valley is part of the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Complex.
